When designing learning experiences for students in math and science courses, we encourage you to consider the digital accessibility of different documents your students may engage with in your course, including:

• Instructors’ presentation of math/science concepts to students (i.e. readings, lectures, slide decks, notes, etc.)
• Instructor-created worksheets or other aids designed to facilitate learners’ notetaking and retention
• Assignments or formative assessments, including homework, completed by students for instructors to review
• Formative feedback from instructors to students on homework or activities
• Summative assessments (i.e. quizzes or exams)

Now that we've described the kinds of documents to consider, let's look at some general principles for how to improve the accessibility of those documents.
