The Digital Accessibility Coordinator works with the ADA Coordinator and serves as a subject matter expert and coordinator of the University's strategic efforts to provide accessible information and communications technology (ICT) to the University community. She works in the collaboration with key partners to lead a collective effort to proactively and systematically address University ICT accessibility.
Brooke has been in the IT field since 2013 working in both the private and public sector and with federal, state, and private companies. Throughout her time as a web developer she has brought accessibility to the forefront of the conversation in order to allow all users the ability to access content that they need and want to access. Brooke became certified as a Certified Accessibility in Core Competencies (CPACC ) professional in 2017 and has presented at many national conferences on various topics of accessibility, presented to Student Affairs professionals on accessibility basics at James Madison University, as well as spoken at webinars on various topics.
